A Yosemite Lodge Offering Urban Young Adults a Fresh Start
Our stay was sponsored by Evergreen Lodge. Opinions are my own. Follow me on NewsBreak to learn more about hotels that give back!. We had a wonderful first exposure to Yosemite National Park while staying at Evergreen Lodge, located in a remote, wooded-wonderland not far from the northwest entrance of the park. We had just driven from San Francisco as we went up and down windy, lush roads and Evergreen Lodge impressed us as soon as we arrived.
Stay in Luxury at Yosemite (and Give Back!)
Our stay was sponsored by Evergreen Lodge and Rush Creek Lodge. Opinions are my own. Follow me on NewsBreak to learn more about hotels that give back!. After a wonderful stay at rugged Evergreen Lodge, we drove 15 minutes down the road to Rush Creek Lodge, a recently-built in 2016 lodge offering amazing amenities and comforts. The bros immediately felt at home with an oversized and well-equipped Game Room, offering an indoor playground, shuffleboard, a pool table and several other forms of entertainment. Across the way, the gorgeous guest lounge had a roaring fireplace, beautiful decor and an Activities Center with staff offering resources for the Lodge and for Yosemite.

The John Muir Estate
This was a great place to visit. I was bummed the house was closed due to Covid-19, but I'll come back after the pandemic and shoot a full video. It was still fun walking around the John Muir's Estate grounds. John Muir played many roles in his life, all of which helped him succeed in his role as an advocate for Nature. As America’s most famous naturalist and conservationist, Muir fought to protect the wild places he loved, places we can still visit today. Muir’s writings convinced the U.S. government to protect Yosemite, Sequoia, Grand Canyon and Mt. Rainier as national parks. The John Muir House The John Muir House was built in 1882 by Dr. John Strentzel, John Muir's father-in-law. When Dr.Strentzel died in 1890, Mrs. Strentzel invited the Muirs to move into the "big house" with her. This was to be John Muir's home for the last 24 years of his life.
Rush Creek Lodge Yosemite Vlog
Traveling during the c*rona is tough, but I hope in my Rush Creek Lodge Yosemite vlog, I can show you that there are amazing places you can still pretty safely travel to during all the shutdowns! Rush Creek Lodge is probably the most convenient spot you can stay in if you are looking to travel to Yosemite National park during the shutdowns....its only a couple miles from the west gate entrance to Yosemite! Plus, it is a beautiful property with plenty to experience and do on its own. Rush Creek lodge is also fantastic if you have a family as there are so many family and kid friendly activities and amenities on the property!
