'Powerful' Russian Attacks on Fatigued Ukraine Are Imminent: Zelensky
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia plans to conduct more powerful strikes on Ukraine as winter approaches. Since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in late February 2022, the Kremlin has launched missile, drone, and artillery strikes. Russia targeted Kyiv's energy infrastructure during Ukraine's winter season in 2022, a practise that is expected to be repeated in the coming weeks.
Russia Says It Was 'Caught off Guard' After Country 'Loses' 76 Planes
As a result of Western sanctions imposed in reaction to President Vladimir Putin's conflict in Ukraine, Russia has lost 76 passenger planes. The United States government has imposed sanctions on Russian-operated aircraft, and aviation manufacturers have stopped supplying the country with new and spare parts. The EU and the US have asked that leased aircraft be returned, but the Kremlin has encouraged carriers to re-register the aircraft in Russia in an attempt to circumvent these demands. As a result, the aircraft are still in operation despite not having received the mandatory maintenance inspections and critical software updates required for airworthiness.

Ignore the Polls and Pundits—Biden Will Win Reelection | Opinion
The presidential election in 2024 is less than a year away, and it appears likely that a supermajority of people in both parties will demand a rematch of the 2020 election. Polls show a close contest, with former President Donald Trump frequently favored to win a second, nonconsecutive term. Political analysts are also describing President Joe Biden as a weak incumbent who risks losing to his former and future adversary. However, the evidence that Biden is in peril is nearly entirely based on surveys. Polls are notoriously unreliable a year before an election because they represent snapshots of the present rather than crystal balls that predict the future.

Bin Laden's Letter to US Stuns Young Americans: 'He Was Right'
A two-page letter titled "Letter to America," reportedly authored by Osama bin Laden, has gone viral on TikTok, with some young Americans feeling that the al-Qaeda founder made legitimate points about their own country. The paper, which The Guardian obtained, is a letter that Bin Laden wrote in 2002 as a diatribe against the United States and an explanation of the mindset that led him to plan the 9/11 attacks. While the incendiary paper is now 21 years old, some have used it to make sense of current international events, such as the Israel-Hamas conflict. The comments of Bin Laden have been hailed as "mind-blowing" and a "revelation."
Donald Trump Gets Exactly What He Wants
Former President Donald Trump has been granted a brief reprieve in his New York civil fraud trial, with an appeals court judge lifting a gag order that had been imposed on the ex-president and his legal team. Democratic Justice David Friedman issued a stay of New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron's order, which was issued after Trump frequently criticised the court's primary law clerk. Trump's counsel filed an emergency appeals court petition, claiming that Engoron violated various provisions of the Judiciary Law and called into question his competence to function as an unbiased fact-finder in a bench trial.
A Homicide at the Terminus of the World: A Mystery Unfolds
If you possess even a cursory acquaintance with tales of unlawful demise, you likely anticipate the unfolding events in A Homicide at the Terminus of the World: a congregation occurs, a life is extinguished, suspects materialize, and the onus falls upon the investigator to unveil the culprit. However, FX's recent limited series scarcely functions as a conventional homicide enigma. Nevertheless, in the hands of architects Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, this deficiency isn't necessarily a critical quandary. It may even constitute a fragment of its allure.
