Portland Teachers' Strike Ends After About A Month
There was a strike in Portland, Oregon that has just ended. There is a union representing teachers, counselors, and many of the other employees who work for the school system of Portland, Oregon. They reached a recent tentative deal with the city’s public school district yesterday on November 25th, 2023. This has ended a strike that has kept about forty-five thousand students out of class for more than three weeks in one of the largest districts in the state of Oregon. So, after about a month of this strike going on, it seems like this protest is finally coming to an end, and city officials will finally provide concessions to those who help to keep Portland’s educational system running.
