Strong accident leaves one Dead and two Injured
Tecate, Baja California, MX - Around 12 PM this Saturday, a car accident was reported to the emergency number ( 911) on the Tecate - Ensenada Kilometer 9 highway; where a light vehicle collided with a heavy car causing an explosion provoking and a wildfire. Therefore the support of the fire department was requested, which moved to the indicated place where they successfully controlled the fire.

Colorado architecture firm F9 Productions unveils one of the first homes it has been commissioned to re-design for one of the over 1,000 Marshall wildfire victims in Louisville Colorado. The firm was commissioned in January of 2022 and the design was completed in April. The home entails a total of three floors including a full basement and three car garage totaling 5,151 square feet. The lower floor, shown below, includes a large storage room, dueling mechanical room, den, kitchenette, reading nook, spare bedroom and bathroom.

Burning on Buffalo Mountain
The wildfire burning on Buffalo Mountain on the outskirts of Johnson City continues. Crews continue to monitor the fire and contain it for the protection of life and property. The winds and low humidity in the area have caused wildfires to pop up in the area, and have caused house fires in the region where those burning debris close to homes lost control when the barrell blow over. Take caution as officials ask people to burn outdoors while the humidity is low and winds are higher and gusty.
Wildfire Breaks Out in Boulder Around 3:00 p.m.
As we were driving home to Boulder County. We witnessed the NCAR fire starting around 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. We could tell it is around NCAR in the City of Boulder. Winds are strong and the fire grew as we were witnessing. As we entered Longmont the smoke had grown bigger. Excavation order started coming over our phones from every direction.

Civilian Volunteer Crews Help Mitigate Wildfire Risk
On a recent cold morning in the steep hills outside Healdsburg, a team of volunteers with Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Fire Forward program managed a controlled burn. The program is designed, in the words of its founders, to bring a unique blend of science-based program design and community organizing to fire prevention and management. Fire Forward volunteers receive training for certification on a hand crew officially known as a Type 2 Wildland Firefighter. That allows them to participate in controlled burns, also known as prescriptive fire. "It's just kind of fun to see how enthusiastic the groups are." Volunteer Chris Arai said. "I get this mailing list and go to sign up on the spread, but by the time I get to it, I'm like way down in the waiting list."
As Florida Dries Out, Wildfires Spring Up
With Spring approaching, Florida's yearly drying out is upon us. Multiple wildfires have been starting due to various reasons. One of those reasons is agricultural equipment. Many ranchers are baling up hay and with dry grass and low humidity, some of these machines are catching fire. On Tuesday, March 1, Florida Forest Service and Okeechobee County Fire Rescue responded to a brush fire off of Dark Hammock Road. Okeechobee County proceeded to use their brush truck to fight the fire from the black (burned) area. The fire was quickly brought under control and the owner lost approximately 3 acres of his hayfield. After an investigation, it was determined that the tractor being used had heated up grass and started the fire.

The scars from the 2016 Chimneytop Wildfires which ravaged Gatlinburg, Tennessee can still be seen in the mid-winter landscape. What is also evident is the continued new growth and new construction which continues in the small tourist town in East Tennessee. The Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park continues to thrive amid reconstruction, record inflation, and the COVID pandemic. Though the pandemic has put a damper on things, along with the rains and record warmth this season - Gatlinburg remains Mountain Strong.
Brushfire Runs Through Hay Field
2/21/2022- Okeechobee County, Fl. A hay baler caught fire Sunday and caused approximately 20 acres of a field to burn. Florida Forest Service was contacted by a local rancher after his equipment caught fire. 2 dozer/plow units were dispatched and proceeded to put breaks around the fire in order to stop it's forward progression. The dozers performed a pinching maneuver to contain the fire in the shortest time possible. The Okeechobee County Fire Department dispatched a brush truck to help put out the burning hay bales and to also mop up the edges to help put the fire out. The fire had burned close to a barn and some other structures used for storage and equipment. Approximately 50 round hay bales were lost in the fire. The cost of the damaged equipment totaled about $25,000. This is not including any fences that were burnt or damaged.

House Catches Fire in Eastern Okeechobee County
Early Morning Fire Burns Down House At Spot in the Sun Community. Residents of the Spot in the Sun community of Okeechobee County were awakened to a neighbors house in flames. Okeechobee County Fire Department was alerted to the blaze by a local resident who was en route to work. Because of the rural area that Spot in the Sun is located, the Florida Forest Service was called and put on standby in case the fire spread into the surrounding brush. The resident explained that she had just started leaving for work when she spotted a dark, black column. She immediately called the fire department. When she noticed how close to the surrounding dry brush the structure was, she then called the Florida Forest Service. There are no details yet due to the incident being under investigation.
