Amid a challenging landscape for the tourism industry, Hawaii's hotel pricing strategy appears to be at odds with its ambition to attract more visitors. The rising hotel costs, particularly outside of Oahu, send mixed signals regarding the islands' businesses' eagerness to see a growth in tourist numbers.

In this series of videos, we are aiming going to visit Kailua and Lanikai from Waikiki - however, our main problem is that we don't have a rental car. So we will be taking the HOLO bus, which takes 1-2 hours. It should be an adventure!

Banana bread is one of my favorite things on the planet - so is starting my day off on the beach with an ice coffee and the morning sun. So naturally, this was an unbelievable combo! Way to go "ALO Cafe"!

There's no better way to start the day then a beautiful sunrise, which we did from our hotel balcony at the Island Colony! It was a stunning sight, which would be followed up with some great hiking later.

Duke Paoa Kahanamoku is known as the father of surfing, and he is a legend in Hawaii. Therefore, his 9ft statue at Waikiki Beach is an icon. Many people hang flower wreaths on him to show their appreciation. And of course, we took in a beautiful sunset here!

Here I try soft-serve at a small business named "Banan" in Waikiki in Oahu, Hawaii. Banan makes their soft-serve using locally grown bananas, making it a bit more healthy, as well as dairy free. What a fresh and delicious summer treat!

This is our first (of many times) that we went to Waikiki Beach on Oahu, Hawaii! On our first night we checked into our Airbnb, but still wanted to at least go to the beach and catch a sunset. Hawaii is so incredible!

A Youtube shorts video from March of this year shows a very large great white shark eating a tuna being reeled in by a fisherman. The video begins with the fisherman, standing somewhat precariously at the edge of the boat, pulling up the line attached to the tuna.
