Repurposed Shutter | Primitive Crow Decor | Country Home Decor
I love finding new ideas for the shutters I rescue. This one is no exception. I start by using dark stain all over the piece to give a deep color. I added a pocket from material found at the flea market. Once it was glued, I put pip berries inside and added a wood crow with a rusty star to the top. I found some old springs on our property and used one to add a rusty touch to my project. Lastly, I added a cute crow tag to the front, and this is ready to display.
Primitive Crow Washboard Decor | Repurposed Home Decor
I couldn't pass up this cute washboard decor when I saw it at Goodwill. I thought I would use the bright copper on the front, but when I flipped it over, I saw the beautiful patina, and I knew I needed that on the front instead. So I added a crow to this one and a cool stencil I had someone make for me. This one came out pretty cool, I think.
Upcycled Dollar Tree Sign | Super Cute Family Sweet Family Sign | Primitive Home Decor
I was gifted a dollar tree sign and decided to upcycle it into a primitive home decor piece. I created a one-of-a-kind project using burgundy paint, black spray paint, and a cute stencil. Don't pass over the small items that can be used in a larger project. I love that birdhouse and knew I had to have it for another project. I love how this came out.
Rustic DIY Wooden Box Makeover | Upcycled Home Decor | Repurposed Box
I am giving this plain wooden box holder a rustic makeover. I used the stain I made with Waverly antique wax watered down and a little black paint to darken it. This stain works great for the rustic look I like. A bit of white paint on the front of the box and distressed will make the decoupage paper pop. The decoupage paper is from a website name Zazzle. They have some beautiful pieces to choose. The ribbon is from Dollar Tree, and the greenery is some small pots from Amazon. Enjoy!
Candy Tin Makeover To Primitive Decor | Upcycled Tin | Transformed Home Decor
I am upcycling this candy tin from Christmas decor to primitive decor. I had some extra decoupage paper I wanted to use and thought I would put it on the container for some kitchen decor. I find these tins at the thrift store often and sometimes have bags of them given to me. I'm finding different ways to transform them and make them look like something you want to keep instead of throwing them in the trash or the thrift store. Enjoy!
Upcycled Popcorn Tin | Trash To Treasure with Decoupage Paper
I have an overabundance of these tins and decided to make something with them instead of throwing them away. They make great storage, and why not make them look nice for your home. I have some decoupage paper pieces and thought I would use them on a few tins. The label on this one has a tea ad, so I thought it would be appropriate for this tin. The aging with antique wax makes this look old and used for many years. Enjoy!
