Many parents understand thoroughly the challenges of a weeknight Halloween. Sure, there are weekend parties and trick or treat opportunities through local businesses, but door-to-door trick or treating still takes place on October 31st.

The spooky experience is being produced by Experiential Supply Co. at the Westfield Promenade at Topanga in Woodland Hills from now until Oct. 31.

The Kingston Collection has announced the return of its annual family-friendly trick-or-treat event, Mall-O-Ween at Kingston Collection!

Have you ever wondered where trick-or-treating came from and when It started in America? We have adopted this tradition in a few ways. When immigrants from Ireland and Celtic backgrounds came to America during the potato famine they brought their customs with them. Including celebrating Halloween. As early as the 1600’s children would go door to door reciting verses, performing tricks also dressed up for cakes or food from neighbors in the Celtic Nations. Celebrating Samhain.

For young kids, Halloween is one of the biggest days of the year. Deciding what costume to wear, seeing the homes getting ready for the holiday with all the scary stuff, and the best part - filling the bucket to the brim when it's finally time for trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.
