After all is said and done, Starved Rock State Park is definitely worth visiting. It is located only 1.5-2 hours from Chicago and it has great nature by Illinois' standards. Although it can definitely can get crowded, the crowds are there for a reason - the natural attractions are definitely worth seeing!
