Moroccan lamb shank
This is Moroccan lamb shank, what a friend ordered during a lunch get-together.A slow-cooked braised lamb with garlic mashed potatoes and dried apricots in balsamic reduction. I had branzino as always, pan-seared with lemon and olive oil, roasted garlic and vegetables. For dessert, I had ashta cake, a Lebanese cake with rosewater, cream and pistachio.
Layers of yumminess on this "not so traditional" Cuban sandwich or La Torta Cubana which I am having for lunch. It is made of cuban bread, marinated pork loin, breaded beef, ham, cheese, sliced avocado, pickled jalapeno, sliced tomato, and lettuce. Yum!
