# Summer havest
A bowl of different varieties of colorful tomatoes grown in our backyard edible garden for our tomato salad - sungella, cherokee carbon, Aunt Ruby's German green, lemon blush and lemon cherries. The seedlings all came from Tomatomania which is said to be the world's largest tomato seedling sale.
Summer is a season of bounty
Summer is a season of bounty. My harvest from our small urban backyard edible garden - apricots, grapes, strawberries, tomatoes and lemons. The apricots were used on the chicken tagine along with mint that were also freshly-picked from the herb garden.
Growing grapes at home
Homegrown grapes are juicy and extremely delicious! Grapes are very easy to grow here in Los Angeles and they tend to be very prolific. We have two grapevines growing in our backyard. One is Perlette, the green variety, and the other one is Blueberry, with purple-blue color and a taste that has a hint of blueberry flavor.
