White Sturgeon Are Powerful #NewsBreakVerticals
This time, I took NewsBreak Original video contributor, Connected Fishing, to my favorite sturgeon fishing spot. He hooked up a monster white sturgeon. Feel the power of the sturgeon as it tried to get away. Let me know in the comments if you want to see more of my videos in a vertical format. Please follow, like and share this video. Don't Go Sturgeon Fishing in the Suisun Slough Without Live Grass Shrimps
After many successful sturgeon fishing trips in the California Delta, Suisun Slough, we were skunked for the very first time in the 2022 season. We could not find any local bait shops that had any live grass shrimps, our go to bait for sturgeon fishing in the slough. Our backup bait, live ghost shrimps, was not available either. We still fished from 7 AM until 2 PM, timing the outgoing and the incoming tides. We did miss some bites and were not able to boat any fish this time. We are going back to our old motto: "No live grass shrimp, no sturgeon fishing." Thank you for watching. Please follow, like and share this video. I greatly appreciate your support. Have a blessed day.
How Not To Net a Big Sturgeon
If you must know, we have landed three big sturgeon over 50 inches in the past using our hands because they do not fit in the net that we had. Recently, I was sponsored by RS Nets USA. Mr. Jeff Miller, the Owner and CEO of the company sent me a net, which was suggested by one of my viewers to be named: "The New Hope." The net was designed to land a big California white sturgeon measuring between 40 to 60 inches from the top of the nose to the fork of the tail. In this video, we caught a white sturgeon 57 inches in length according to the above definition. We used this net to land the sturgeon from the tail, which was incorrect. Because sturgeon cannot swim backward, we were supposed to land it from the head so that it would swim forward into the net. Thankfully, somehow we managed to boat it. How to Bait Eel, Salmon Roe, and Grass Shrimp to Fish for Sturgeon
There are many different baits to entice a sturgeon to bite. In this video, I show you how to bait eel, salmon roe, and grass shrimp to catch a sturgeon. These baits are proven to work in the California Delta. I hope you enjoy my videos. Please follow, like, and share these videos. Thank you. Have a blessed day.
Subtle Bite Is An Indicator of Huge Sturgeon
Inexperienced sturgeon anglers wait for a huge monster take-down and they want to see the rod bend over to reach the water. On the other hand, experienced sturgeon anglers are super excited when they see the rod tip barely bend. This is the indicator for a monster sized sturgeon. This has been my experience. Drop me a comment regarding your experience. Please watch, follow, like and share this video. Thank you.
When sturgeon fishing, set the hook on subtle bites!
This is Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. Beautiful weather, sunny skies and very little wind. We fish in Suisun Slough. There was already an angler at our favorite outgoing tide location. We moved downstream, but in the same vicinity. Around 8:45 AM, we heard joyful sounds! Lots of reason to be joyful for Nick, our new angler friend, he hooked up. After forty minutes fight, he boated and released a 55-inch white sturgeon. Nick left around 11 AM and gave us extra bait, which included two live mudsucker, some ghost & grass shrimps. That was the incoming tide. We relocated. Around 2 PM we got a very subtle bite: BAM! Dino on! Please watch, follow, like and share this video. I appreciate you!
Catch and Release a Sturgeon from the California Delta
This is my second fishing trip out in the California Delta (Suisun Slough) in search of sturgeon. Our highly sought after grass shrimp as bait was not available at any of the local bait shops. We settled for ghost shrimp this time. The bites were extremely slow; however, I was blessed to boat two sturgeon for the trip. Thanks for coming along. Please follow, like, and share this video.
Sturgeon Fishing: A huge sturgeon released
Welcome back to the Fishing 247 channel. I really appreciate everyone watching and following me. Today I went fishing with my fishing buddy, Jeff on his beautiful Arima. We launched out of the Alviso boat launch. The weather was very windy. We used ghost shrimps as bait and we had two takedowns and caught a huge sturgeon and we safely released it. I had a great day fishing with my buddies Jeff. I really appreciate Jeff for taking me out fishing on his boat. Can't wait to go fishing with him again. Be happy, stay healthy, stay safe, and go fishing. Have a great day.
