Gov. Kemp declares a State of Emergency over issues with the supply chain in Georgia
(State of Georgia) Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia declared a state of emergency in response to continued disruptions in supply chains amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The order became effective on Saturday, April 16th, 2022. The executive order also ensures there will not be any price-gouging as well.

State of Emergency Declared Ahead of Bomb Cyclone

With an intense winter weather system known as a bomb cyclone brewing just off the east coast, New Yorkers are bracing themselves for what might be one of the biggest winter weather events of the season. Ahead of the intense weather, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul officially declared a State of Emergency beginning at 8 p.m. tonight due to the severe snowfall and gusty winds expected downstate from New York City to the lower Hudson Valley.

Anne Arundel County Executive Wants Broader Emergency Powers Restored Amidst COVID Spike; County Council Will Vote 1/3
Annapolis, MD (Arundel.News & AAFA)- Rising COVID-19 case rates and the availability of test kits, vaccines, and contact tracing in the county were all major talking points during Tuesday's weekly press call with Anne Arundel County officials. According to the County Health Officer, Nilesh Kalyanaraman, M.D., the case rate in Anne Arundel County is four times higher than it was merely three weeks ago.
