DougCo reduces proposed health department staffing
[DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO] Douglas County's health board decided to reduce staffing for the new health department during an April 22 workshop. Douglas County dropped out of the Tri-County Health Department last year over opposition to the department's mask mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Clay County District Schools avoids teacher staffing shortages despite pandemic
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused labor shortages across the nation in various fields, calling attention to pay and retention rates in certain jobs. One field, in particular, that has been dramatically affected has been staffing shortages in schools.

Curbside recycling still suspended in Clay County as staffing shortages continue
In the most recent Waste Management staffing update from March, Clay County was understaffed by 15 employees – resulting in the continued suspension of curbside recycling. Waste Management staffing shortages are presented to the county on the 16th of each month.
