The Seattle Seahawks took the field on Thursday, but during their Thursday Night Football loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks suffered an even bigger loss. After the game, Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll announced that all-pro wide receiver Tyler Lockett suffered a broken index finger. According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, it is uncertain whether Tyler Lockett will return at all this season.

Geno Smith is making the Seahawks look like they made a solid choice in trading Russell Wilson. Geno has had a few down games but more than less he's performed very well. Jared Goff is looking almost better than he was with the Rams and continues to make the Lions look like a competent team.

The 49ers looked like themselves and look a little more aggressive on defense this year. The Trey Lance injury will be detrimental to them developing moving forward, but if things work out with Jimmy then I see no love lost. Geno looked like the answer in week one, but there remains a lot of uncertainty over the seahawks roster now.

The Seahawks were underdogs but they definitely came to play. It was an exciting game, big hits, big plays and big turnovers from both teams. Geno looked seasoned and if he can play like he did today, the Seahawks have hopes to compete in the tough NFC West. I won't sleep on the Broncos until they give me more reasons to do so. On paper they're still one of the best teams in the league and I still see them being playoff contenders.

Drew Lock didn't help himself at all with Seattle's decision to start Geno Smith. Lock threw three interceptions in Seattle's one point preseason loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Seattle didn't do too well this preseason going 0-3 so hopefully we don't see this translate into the regular season and they figure things out.

Bears move to 2-0 on the preseason after handling the Seahawks pretty well. Jacob Eason played pretty well in Drew Locks absence, and the running backs contributed well but Seattle couldn't execute enough to gain control of the game.

First things first, it seems that both teams have qurterback battles going on. Whether its an actual thing or not, I'd have to give the starting roles to Drew Lock and Kenny Pickett. Both teams seemed to have a different spark when both quarterbacks checked in. It was another competitve game in this wild week one, with the Steelers winning the game on clutch touchdown score from Kenny Pickett to Tyler Vaughn.

Breaking Seahawks Injury News as running back Rashaad Penny has suffered a groin injury and is not expected to play in the preseason opener on Saturday night vs. the Steelers. Penny is the starting running back on the Seahawks depth chart and is expected to split carries with rookie Kenneth Walker III this season. Penny has an extensive injury history and was expected to take on a bigger role this year in the Seahawks offense after the retirement of Chris Carson. #NFL
