When we are in a new town we love to check out the local breweries and distilleries. Santa Fe, NM had plenty to choose from. We stopped at the Santa Fe Brewery as it was just down the road from our RV Resort. We stumbled across Tumble Root Distillery on our way back from the Children's Museum. We have heard nothing but good things about the Santa Fe's Children Museum so we had to see what it was all about. The kids had an absolute blast playing with all the toys and learning while playing. There is also an outdoor area that we didn't get to play and explore too much because it was super windy and rainy. This should be on your list of places to visit while in the area. Wanting to get the most out of an art-focused trip, I decided to stay at La Posada de Santa Fe, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in New Mexico. Set up inside a former 1880's mansion, it later became an art colony where famous artists like Georgia O'Keefe stayed before it turned into a resort. Walking around the property, there's art displayed all over the building's main corridor. The hotel's art curator, Sara Eyestone, works with artists from across the nation, giving them a chance to showcase their talent. Outside the hotel and resort's main corridors, guests will find adobe casitas uniquely designed with a southwestern style. Some of the 157 rooms date back more than 200 years, featuring original adobe walls, kivas, and a southwestern style fireplace. The onsite full-service Spa Sage offers a list of treatments unique to the region and locally inspired. La Posada is two blocks from the historic plaza, where you will find the Santa Fe Opera House and Georgia O'Keefe Museum.
