NFL Great Willie Gault On "Citizen Athlete," Reign Energy, Writing & More - "Paltrocast" Exclusive
An intimate and inside look to the Women's U.S. Bobsled team leading up to the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Citizen Athlete will be premiering this month at the Mammoth Film Festival. As written by Ryan March and directed by Brandy Wille, Citizen Athlete features plenty of Monster Energy athletes, including Kaillie Humphries, Elana Meyers-Taylor and Aja Evans; the journeys of these and other athletes is chronicled within the documentary. One of the star athletes who participated within Citizen Athlete was Willie Gault. Gault played 11 seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl as part of the legendary Chicago Bears' 1985 squad. Prior to turning pro, Gault had qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic team as a track & field athlete. He later made the 1988 Winter Olympics bobsledding team as an alternate. Gault has since been inducted into multiple athletics-related Hall Of Fame institutions and has also found success as an actor. I had the pleasure of speaking with Willie Gault via Zoom on March 3, 2023, as embedded above and aired viathe Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz television series. Beyond Citizen Athlete, we talked about Reign Total Body Fuel, the Bears' infamous "Super Bowl Shuffle" and how great he was in the classic NES video game Tecmo Bowl. More on Gault and Citizen Athlete can be found online by clickinghere.

Interestingly, John Madden is the coach most associated with the Raiders, but Tom Flores coached the Raiders to two of their Super Bowl wins. Most of the guys on this list played for one or both of those coaches.
