Motorist Alert: Avoid section of County Road 220 if possible, county advises
The eastbound lane on County Road 220 (Doctors Inlet) over the Little Black Creek Bridge will be intermittently closed for repairs continuing the week of Jan. 16. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if they can, according to an update from Clay County Government.
Motorist Alert: 4 road projects awaiting start date in Clay County
Four Clay County road projects have been scheduled to start for three weeks yet continue to be delayed due to supply and contractor shortages. Additionally, the construction industry has about two weeks of downtime during the Christmas holidays to allow employees to be with family, Clay County Public Information Officer Annaleasa Winter said.

Motorist Alert: Clay County begins road work for drainage repair, expect traffic delays
Clay County crews will soon begin road work along Camp Ridge Lane, which will result in traffic delays. The project will repair drainage structures in the 1300 block of Camp Ridge Lane. Work will include replacing the curb inlets and drainpipes from the intersection of Pine Ridge Parkway, south 300 feet on Camp Ridge Lane to improve drainage and prevent floods, County Public Information Officer Annaleasa Winter said.

A new county road project for pavement striping work will affect motorists in Clay County the week of August 22. The striping is being done overnight along College Drive, County Road 217, County Road 220, East West Parkways, Bald Eagle Road, Pine Avenue and Henley Road.

My first actual question after I guffawed is how much money am I the taxpayer going to have to shell out? According to the website this endeavor will be privately funded for $25 million dollars. With the higher cost of everything including electricity, gas and rising inflation, I imagine that the price tag for this venture will definitely increase.
