$40M to Expand High-Quality Preschool in NJ Districts
With the goal of providing universal preschool, NJ provides an opportunity for districts to apply for state-funded preschool. As part of the initiative toward universal preschool, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) beginning last week invited school districts to apply for a share of $40 million in funding available to help districts expand or establish new high-quality preschool programs.
Denver invests $8.6 million in early childhood education
(Denver, Colo.) Denver plans to pump $8.6 million Monday into early childhood education programs such as Head Start and the Boys and Girls Club. It also will pay for the schooling of early childhood educators who plan to work with immigrants, refugees, people of color or children with disabilities.
School Funding Increases in NJ State Budget
NJ School Districts will receive over $9 billion in state funding for the Fiscal Year 2023. *note, the Governor's Press Release states "$19 billion" but released documents outlining allocations of funds reports just under $10 billion.
