Hamilton Township, PA- A Hamilton Township couple is facing charges of child endangerment and animal cruelty after an investigation led to their arrest on July 3, 2023. Amanda Aulito, 33, and Kevin Connolly, 39, were taken into custody after detectives noticed a foul odor emanating from their residence. Debris was also present outside the home, leading the detectives to contact Monroe County Children and Youth Services and the ASPCA for assistance.

Camp Tioga in Susquehanna County notified couples who had booked wedding events there that they are canceling all events and closing down. Couples who booked their wedding events at a popular private camp near the Poconos got a shock this week when they were told their weddings are all being canceled. There has so far been no official word made public on what is happening with Camp Tioga, but it appears to have permanently closed.

BK Lobster has been sued and accused of being a Ponzi scheme by some franchise owners. A seafood restaurant that's known for its lobster rolls will be holding the grand opening for its first Pennsylvania location on March 11 in the Poconos. The new BK Lobster will be open in Smithfield Township in Monroe County. The seafood restaurant started in Brooklyn, NY, and has opened locations across the country, but some franchisees and investors have filed lawsuits against the company, alleging fraud.

According to a press release by Monroe County District Attorney's Office. On May 24, as part of their ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking in the Poconos, the Criminal Investigations Division of the Monroe County District Attorney's Office conducted an undercover sting operation in Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County. The operation resulted in the arrest of Jessica Bauer and Eric Scelza, both of Stroudsburg.
