Located downtown La Jolla, "Trilogy Sanctuary" has my favorite Mexican food that I have eaten outside of Mexico itself. I highly recommend you get the Trilaquiles, which is their version of a dish called chilaquiles. They also have fantastic tacos, enchiladas, acai bowls, and more in a great outdoor setting on the top of the roof. Enjoy this delicious food with a view only 10 minutes walking from the Pacific Ocean!

At "Starved Rock State Park's" outdoor patio, you can enjoy vast sweeping views of the green surrounding you. This is best accompanied with some beers, drinks, or food served up at the restaurant conveniently located near the hiking trails! It replaces a tented outdoor dining area erected at the height of Covid in the spring of 2020.

Another day has come and gone and the workweek is nearly over. Although temperatures are slightly warming up in the Denver metro, it's important to always remember how to stay safe and warm when temperatures plummet to dangerously low levels.

We get mild winters, almost like a Mediterranean type climate, so Sunday lunch was in the backyard garden. Two and a half pounds crawfish or crayfish cooked in roux and seafood broth with okra, celery, andouille sausage cut into medallions and seafood seasoning, then spooned over a bowl of steamed rice. Like crawfish, some people like okra and some don't. Okra is a super food, rich in many nutrients and low in calories. We grew up eating okra, so we like the sliminess which is perfect on gumbo.
