Visiting the Historical Point Loma Lighthouse in San Diego, California
The old Point Loma Lighthouse sit's on top of Point Loma overlooking San Diego Bay. The old Lighthouse was built in 1855 and was in operation for 36 years. The weather on the top of Point Loma was not conducive to lighthouse operations as it was often foggy and cloudy. The Point Loma lighthouse has been moved to a lower elevation and the original lighthouse is now a museum. Not only was this a lighthouse, but the family that operated it lived there as their home and is now a museum. This lighthouse is accessible through Cabrillo National Monument. The views are spectacular! I highly recommend visiting!

Visiting the Point Loma Tide Pools in Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego
In this video we are visiting the Point Loma Tide Pools. This is the first turn off after entering Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego. The sign might say "parking lot full", but people are coming and going all day so it's easy to find a spot when someone leaves. The best time to visit the tide pools is during the fall and winter months, when they have great low tides during park hours. During spring and summer on Point Loma, the tide is usually covering the tide pools when the park is open. The tide pools were not fully exposed during our visit- but it was beautiful!

Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque, New Mexico
Hey Ya'll! I love visiting national monuments and landmarks to see a part of American History. In a recent trip to Albuquerque we stopped by the Petroglyph National Monument. This was honestly the coolest experience. To see carvings in all the stones and where we starting cooking on stones. This was such an educational trip and definitely worth the adventure!
