In South Dakota, Jewel Cave National Monument is a great cave to explore with tons of interesting formations and mineral deposits. The cave system is over 208 miles and is currently the third longest cave system in the world. Bring a jacket since this cave is a cool 49 degrees Fahrenheit year round.
