Around the year 2040, you may hear the names Charlotte and Liam repeated often as Virginia graduates walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. That's because the most popular name for baby girls born in Virginia last year was Charlotte, and the most popular name for boys was Liam.

Every year the Social Security Administration (SSA) compiles a list of the top baby names in the U.S. The agency tracks names in each state based on applications they receive for social security cards.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH. - According to a list provided by the Franklin County Auditor's Office, the majority of dog owners in the area prefer to give their furry friends human names. The list contains every licensed dog name for the year, and some of the popular choices follow national trends, such as Brutus and Ohio State.

A long-standing joke about doctors is they have illegible handwriting when filling out prescriptions. It doesn't help that some of the words they write are Latin terms, adding to the patient's confusion in trying to read the scrawls.
