Foothills Mall has a new Youth Escort Policy in place and requires all mall visitors under the age of 18 to be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian who is 21 years or older on Friday and Saturday nights after 4 p.m.

Pups and chili are a great combo. The Blount County K-9 Association is partnering with the Townsend Animal Clinic and Tri-Hop Brewery to host a legendary chili cookoff in Maryville. Retired police dogs will be doing demonstrations to show off the skills they picked up on the force while cooks prepare their best chili. The brewery served their beers and hosted a silent auction.
