Breakfast in the backyard garden
Weekends are for slowing down and lazing away and there's no better way to kick off the weekend than a breakfast in the backyard garden while listening to the birds sing and watching the bees pollinate the plum blossoms. For today's breakfast, I prepared waffles topped with strawberries and blueberries for Josh and toast with egg, bacon and avocado for me and the husband.

Weekends are for slowing down and lazing away and for me there's no better way to kick off the weekend than a pop in the garden to enjoy the flowers in bloom and pick some fragrant roses plus a delicious waffles breakfast with berries also from the backyard garden.
Cast-iron skillet breakfast with backyard harvest
A cast-iron skillet breakfast with leftover from last night's raclette dinner. The orange and green bell peppers along with the tomatoes, thyme and chives, were harvested from our backyard edible garden. I also added some asparagus, zucchini, shrimp, scallops, bacon and sunny side egg on top.
