Katy ISD names new assistant superintendent and principals for upcoming school year
KATY, TX – Katy ISD Superintendent Ken Gregorski recently announced new leadership roles for three district positions. This summer, Rahsan Smith will begin collaborating with other district leaders as Katy ISD’s newest Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Leadership and Support, while Greg Kraus will assume the role of principal at Memorial Parkway Junior High and Dr. Kaye Williams will lead Cinco Ranch High School.
Katy ISD Earns an “A” in Accountability Rating System
KATY, TX [August 15, 2022] – It's report card time for school districts across the State of Texas, and Katy ISD has earned an overall A rating (91) from the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) A-F Accountability Rating System. Out of more than 1,000 school districts in Texas, Katy ISD was one of 396 districts and the second largest school district in Texas to receive the “A” rating. Katy ISD Names New Principals for Bryant, McRoberts Elementary Schools
KATY – Katy ISD recently named the new principals for Bryant and McRoberts elementary schools for the 2022-2023 school year. Ashley Pierce will lead Bryant Elementary and Kelly Stroud will lead McRoberts Elementary.
Katy ISD Athletes Sign with Colleges and Universities
KATY, TX [April 29, 2022] – As the Katy ISD academic year nears its closure, a total of 38 student-athletes formally committed to their college or university of choice. Their countless hours of practice, sweat and effort were recognized during a memorable celebration in which each athlete signed a binding letter of intent for a collegiate sport. Katy ISD Announces 2021-2022 Valedictorians and Salutatorians
KATY, TX [April 29, 2022] – Katy ISD is proud to announce the top two students from each high school who have ranked highest academically in their respective graduating classes. These students have worked extremely hard from the first day of their ninth-grade year until their senior year. Paetow High School hires new football coach
KATY, TX – The 2021 State Football Championship team at Paetow High School has a new head coach. Lonnie Teagle will also serve as the school's athletic coordinator. Katy ISD made the announcement Thursday.
Katy ISD Board of Trustees Approves New Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning
KATY, TX – During tonight’s monthly Katy ISD board meeting, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved Dr. Sanée Bell as the new Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. Dr. Bell previously served as the Executive Director for Secondary Teaching and Learning. She has more than 22 years of educational experience, most of which was spent as part of the Katy ISD family.
Katy ISD FFA Auction Brings in more than $815,000
KATY, TX (Covering Katy) - The 2022 Katy ISD FFA Student Livestock Show raised a record $815,480. The most visible aspect of the FFA is the raising, showing and sale of livestock. Months of hard work and dedication culminate at the Livestock Show, with the Auction being the Grand Finale.
Katy ISD enrolls 90,000th Student
KATY, TX – Katy ISD reached a monumental milestone with the enrollment of its 90,000th student this week. The student, was surprised in her classroom by her family, Superintendent Ken Gregorski and other District officials. The surprise announcement also included balloons, several Katy ISD gifts and a “90,000th student” t-shirt that she wore proudly.
