(Colorado Springs, CO) The Ed Robson Arena on the campus of Colorado College in Colorado Springs opened its doors in October 2021. This multi-purpose, state-of-the-art facility seats approximately 3400 people, and it is the home arena to the Colorado College men's ice hockey team.

There are many different events from which to choose. The skaters put on spectacular shows which are not without drama and controversy. This year was no exception.

Back in February 2021, I purchased a Groupon for an 8-week Ice Skating Course for my son. I figured if he hated it, it was $125 lost. Well, 1 year later, he is still skating, and now, so am I. We are both currently taking ice skating lessons at Pines Ice Arena. Rider started with 1 day a week from February to October. Then in November, he wanted to come 3 times a week, so I decided to start too. Today I go over our experiences in learning to ice skate, what I would do differently and advice for parents or adults looking to start ice skating. Another winter outdoor activity to try is Ice Skating in Maggie Daley Park. The rink features changes in elevation, which give it an incline and decline and it would be fun to skate seeing wonderful Chicago views.
