The third free community concert of the season is at the City Center Lou Sobh Amphitheater in Cumming, Friday, May 26, featuring The A-Town A-List at 7 p.m. Free admission and free parking. (Forsyth County, GA) A holiday tradition continues this Saturday as Cumming’s Christmas Parade winds through the city. Cumming Public Information Assistant Crystal Ledford said this is the fifth year of this incarnation of the parade.
See the Route 66 Christmas Train in Tulsa for Free!
We stopped by the lit up Route 66 Historical Village in Tulsa. It’s a very small side stop but we recommend seeing it if you’re near Tulsa. We enjoyed looking at the lit up train and the buildings and vehicles surrounding the train. If you’re traveling on Route 66 this holiday season, check it out!
Worlds Largest Leg Lamp
While in Chickasha we stopped by the worlds largest leg lamp after visiting Chickasha Festival of Lightl. It’s a sight to see! It was much bigger than we expected it to be. They have lights in it so you can see it day and night. You can find it in the downtown area of Chickasha near many shops and restaurants. There’s also some Christmas lights on a train caboose and around the train station. If you find yourself near the area or if you are a big fan of the Christmas Story you must see it… it’s a major award!
The Tulsa Botanic Garden of Lights is a must see Tulsa Attraction
We got a sneak peek at this years Tulsa Botanic Garden of Lights and it was beautiful. Our family had a wonderful time throughout the whole garden. Not only do they have amazing light displays, they also have food trucks, Botanic Bar, fire pits, snow ball pit for the kids, and special event nights with crafts, Botanic St. Nick, Kids Train Rides, Live Jazz Music, Caroling, etc! They are open the day after Thanksgiving through December 4th Thursdays through Sunday and nightly December 8-30th. (Closed Dec 15,24,25th)
