Emerald Village: A Rock Collector's Paradise!
In this episode, Tommy and I continue our journey through the Western North Carolina Mountains to visit Emerald Village, a historical feldspar mine that produced some of the world's most popular products. This mine is home to some of the most beautiful natural minerals in North America and has some pretty cool exhibits to show off its history.

Touring Kit Carson Historical Sites in Taos, New Mexico
In this video, we explore the Kit Carson House and Museum along with the Kit Carson Memorial Cemetery. Kit Carson played a key role in the US expansion of the American West. He made his home in Taos, NM. I highly recommend the book "Blood & Thunder' by Hampton Sides to give you a more thorough look into the life of Kit Carson. I am not a history buff, nor an avid reader, however I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A fascinating story. The Kit Carson park has a historical cemetery in the back where many notable historical figures are buried.
