Political campaigns need money for marketing. In Texas, it’s no different and some people go big when it comes to fundraising. Austin, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has the second-largest amount in donations for this year’s election. He is behind Florida’s Governor, Ron Desantis who has raised $109 million.

After Texas Governor Abbott signed the abortion bill last September in Austin, companies such as Yelp are offering pregnant women an alternative. The company will pay travel expenses for any employee and spouse to have an abortion in a state that allows abortions.

Governor Greg Abbott is launching his reelection campaign and also plans to visit cities in Texas over the next two months. Abbott is getting ready for the Republican primary which is scheduled for March 1.

Texas Governor Gregory Abbott shared his disagreement about the President's requirement for the Texas National Guard to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. In his news release, he stated he was "protecting the Texas National Guard from President Biden's COVID-19 vaccine mandate."
