Que & A: Why Do We Love Woodstock's Bub-Ba-Que?
Living in the barbeque-rich Southeastern US, it's virtually impossible to pick a single "favorite" barbeque location or outing. So instead, here's a simple Que and A about why we put Woodstock's Bub-Ba-Que location among our regional favorites:
Is Marufuku Ramen in Irvine Worth it?
We had a serious case of the munchies so we decided to go to Marufuku Ramen in Irvine. Marufuku Ramen is the Bay Area’s well-known purveyor of authentic Japanese ramen, featuring a silky, smooth, 20-hour Hakata-style broth. It has opened a location in Irvine’s Los Olivos Marketplace back in 2021. The key process behind Marufuku’s luscious tonkotsu broth is a 20-hour cook time. In order to fully extract the umami flavor, this authentic broth is made by slow boiling pork bones. This slow-cooking process results in a combination of oily broth featuring a thick, milky layer of umami. Swimming in this thick hakata-style broth are specially selected “ultra-thin artisanal noodles.” Here, guests can dictate their own experience from the style of ramen, to the choice of protein and even the firmness of the noodle itself. This was our first time here, so it was now time to dig in.
Check out our Favorite Noodle House in Fremont, CA.
Hello everyone and welcome to Ellie Adventures! For today’s vlog, we went to One Piece Lamian Noodle House in Fremont, CA. They were having a soft opening and we wanted to check it out. We personally like this place because of their braised beef noodle soup. It contains handmade noodles and tender and juicy beef with a savory broth. We hope you enjoyed this video and that you continue to follow us for more adventures around the Bay Area. See you guys next time!

Restaurant Review: Gyu-Kaku
We stumbled upon Gyu-Kaku while we were waiting to go to the airport in Austin to fly back home. We had already been eating all day but needed to kill time so we did what we do best - EAT MORE FOOD! Eat, drink, and be merry! I've never had Japanese BBQ before so I'm glad we tried it. We got a multi-course meal with different kinds of meat. I always get takoyaki whenever I see it on the menu and theirs was pretty good. I LOVED the broccoli and cheddar that you throw on the grill and the meats were pretty good. I wish they had better and more creative drinks but when in doubt, Jameson comes in pretty clutch! Good vibes, and it's fun to cook your own meals on the tabletop fire. They do have a couple of locations in Denver as well, which I wasn't aware of until we went. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5. I prefer Korean BBQ but I'd go again.
Hidden Gem Affordable Mexican Restaurant
I discovered this honey comb mexican Restaurant hideout some months ago . When you enter it’s a few photo ops out front and a flower arch before entering that’s super cute. They have a huge bar area that’s great for watching the games. Our food was simply amazing . I ordered the fried chicken w/ fried green bananas & cabbage salad , I was not expecting it to be so massive especially for only $10! It was a mouth full of explosion of yessss! If you’re hungry and your pockets are running low this is the place to be .
