Adventures such as hiking in Glacier National Park can be an exhilarating experience. This big sky mountain park consists of more than 730 miles of hiking trails. There is a variety of trails that consist of short and long with different levels of difficulty.

In a heartbreaking turn of events, the search for missing hiker Adam Fuselier has come to a tragic conclusion in the vast wilderness of Glacier National Park in Montana. The 32-year-old adventurer from Castle Pines, Colorado, went missing during a solo hiking trip, leaving his family in distress as they awaited news of his whereabouts.

Glacier National Park is home to Polebridge Mercantile and the only place to get an authentic Huckleberry Bear Claw. They taste similar to wild blueberries and do not grow in a lot of places which make them very special to the area. Delicious!

As we welcome April, let’s examine the upcoming week’s temperature and precipitation forecast for the breathtaking state of Montana. The Old Farmer’s Almanacpredicts that Big Sky Country will experience a blend of partly cloudy and rain/snow showers from April 1st through April 7th, 2023.

If you enjoy visiting our national parks but have noticed finding a campground can be a bit more difficult, Glacier National Park is making progress toward allowing more campers to feel comfortable in finding a site. In a recent report they announced this popular campground will reopen after being closed for several seasons.

On a lovely hike to McDonalds Falls on the Mcdonald Creek Trail inside the beautiful Glacier National Park, we were graced with about 3-4 Mule Deer. They were at the beginning of the trail and on our way back they were still there! They obviously were used to people :)

Going To The Sun Road in Glacier NP is considered an engineering marvel. It was completed in 1932, and its route takes you to incredible spots and viewpoints along the way. It takes a minimum of 2 hours to drive across, without stopping. It is known as one of the most beautiful drives in the world. A reservation is now required to drive on this road. Reserve your vehicle pass at Recreation.gov. Please enjoy this brief tour of some of the beauty and nature along this iconic roadway in the Montana Rocky Mountains.

If you need a reason to visit Glacier, consider its name. Sadly, within our lifetime, Glacier National Park will lose the ice that gives the park its name. There’s never been a more important time to plan your trip here. Plus there is a lot of wildfires and heat out here.

On July 28th, 2021, we visited Glacier National Park, Montana for 24 hours. The plan was to stick around for like a week, but due to some work constraints and weather, we decided to quickly head west towards Seattle, Washington after our short visit. Our Grizzly Bear experience near Apikuni Fall Trailhead was awesome and we saw a few Black Bears near the Iceberg Lake Trailhead! Thanks for watching!
