Jamaican Food in Hawai'i? It's True! Wahiawa: Lunch, Boba, & A Coffee Farm
In the town of Wahiawa, there are a lot of hidden food gems. But when we heard about a new Jamaican spot serving up the classics, we had to check it out. This spot is located near Kam Hwy & Kilani Ave and dishes out some authentic Jamaican cuisine. The menu is vast and features oxtail, goat, escovitch fish, Jerk Chicken, coco bread and beef patties. Right across the parking lot is a newer boba spot called Beyond Boba. Their menu covers the gamut in flavors of boba teas while also bringing Hawai'i the bubble waffle and acai bowls. A short ride across the covered bridge takes us to Green World, a coffee farm serving up aloha with each cup. Scratch Made Fresh Food at Cherry Street Kitchen in Downtown Tulsa
Today we tried out đ Cherry Street Kitchen in downtown Tulsa. They serve scratch made food with fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a fun and bright atmosphere. They have a variety of paintings along the walls, flowers and plants on the tables and comfortable seats. The food was delicious⊠like seriously good. I had the chicken pot pie. It came out with a great texture of crust and tasty fillings that included chicken, corn, potatoes and more. My wife had the veggie sandwich wrap which she loved. She actually said âwowâ after she started eating it. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were very happy with the service. If youâd like to try them they are located on 5th and Boulder (near the Mayo Hotel) They used to actually be on Cherry street years ago but closed during COVID and reopened in the downtown Tulsa.

My family and I enjoyed Bros. Houligan for the first time recently. I had been hearing great things about their multiple Tulsa locations and we ended up visiting the location on Yale. The Bros. Houligan has been serving Tulsa delicious comfort food for over 25 years. They are known for their chicken fried steak sandwiches and Cottage Fries (waffle fries served with a side of gravy) We started out with some mozzarella sticks, fresh baked rolls and onion rings. Both the apps and the rolls were great! I ordered the fish and chips special. The fish was great and the batter was delicious. I really enjoyed the cottage fries. Kilkennyâs Irish Pub is the place to go for authentic Irish Food in Tulsa
Kilkennyâs Irish Pub is the place to go for Authentic Irish Food in Tulsa. They have a large menu the atmosphere is as youâd expect in an Irish pub. Itâs cozy with plenty of seating and nice decor. My wife and I recently visited for lunch and it was so good. We started with one of the 22 appetizers. They all looked so good but we settled with Callan Cheddar Dip and Chips. (Crispy Fried Potato Wedges served with a crock of hot Irish cheddar sauce). For our meals my wife had KillKennyâs Potato Soup and a side salad. I had the Irish Travelers Chicken Cordon Bleu. I had never had a Cordon Bleu but I was pleasantly surprised with it. It consisted of Chicken Breast layered with Swiss Cheese, Black Forest Ham, coated with bread crumbs and baked golden brown. It was served with Oâfredo sauce, vegetables and a side of Colcannon. (Mashed Potatoes with braised cabbage) and of course I had a Guinness with my meal. Overall, KillKennyâs was a great experience that I highly recommended.

They cook their food over an open flame like the Whole Mediterranean Sea Bass that is served head-on and dripping in lemon, caper, and herbs! I enjoyed the live DJ, hookah, and bottle service that kept the party going after dinner. Octopus also has several flat-screen TVs to enjoy the game. Hanks Hamburgers has been serving up delicious food on Route 66 in Tulsa for over 70 years.
I had Hanks Hamburgers first time this past week. Since 1949 Hanks Hamburgers has been serving up delicious burgers, fries and shakes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have been located here on Route 66 for over 70 years now. My burger was tasty and flavorful. If youâre up for a challenge try the Okie Dokie (a burger with 6 pattyâs and 6 slices of cheese). I stuck with the classic burger and fries. It is a small building, but they have a second room with additional seating near the back, so donât give up if it looks too busy when you first arrive. They have a to go order window and a dine in order section so you can easily get it to go or dine in.
