Would You Like To Support Nature After Death? New York Joins the Movement: Human Composting Now Legal
New York State legalized human composting or Natural Organic Reduction, making it the sixth state in the United States to do so since 2019. In this composting process that takes around 60 days and doesn't use chemicals, the deceased person's remains are placed in a container with organic materials like straw, hay, or sawdust. The container is sealed and connected to a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, which helps the remains decompose faster through microbes. After 30 days, the content is checked for any remaining bones, which are then crushed and put back into the container. After another 30 days, the content is returned to the family members.

Deadline for Tampa eBike Vouchers is April 14
Anyone in the City of Tampa looking to secure an alternative mode of transportation – an eBike – has until Friday at 5 p.m. to apply for Tampa’s eBike Voucher Program. Already, over 400 people have applied for the 180 available vouchers. These vouchers that can be used to offset the cost of an eBike. The city’s Mobility Department’s eBike voucher program is open to all, with special qualifications for those meeting income requirements.
