An Arizona woman tragically became the first recorded fatality from an elk attack in the state's history. The incident occurred in her backyard in Pine Lake near the Hualapai Mountains. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries eight days later at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.

Young Bulls Fighting Cannon Beach, Oregon
Visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon for Medical Reserve Corps Training instead of an empty space the sight of a few young bulls playing and fighting with each other was waiting for us. It was a lovely surprise. On first arrival, there were a handful of elk and slowly they started to leave as people and cars started to arrive. Two of the bulls decided to hang around and provide us with a lovely show.
