How to make steamed eggs
This is another simple recipe that is also versatile. You can use any protein you like - ground chicken, ground turkey, ground pork, shrimp, mushroom.. the possibilities are endless. On this video I used ground pork, onion & garlic, six eggs, two cups of water, a sprinkle of salt and green onions from our backyard garden.
Skillet breakfast with backyard veggies
A quick, easy and nutritious weekend breakfast recipe with vegetables and herb from the backyard garden - Tuscan kale, Russian kale and thyme. Potatoes first, cut into cubes and then sauteed with onion, garlic, tomatoes and bell pepper. Next, I added the green leafy vegetables, poured in scrambled eggs, topped with shredded cheese and bacon. Then on to the broiler until the top gets cooked.
Shakshouka for breakfast
Another of my "go to" recipe when we have plenty of tomatoes ripening in the garden all at once, usually during mid to later summer. This is a dish from North Africa with eggs simmered in diced tomatoes, seasoned with salt and garnished with feta cheese and torn basil. The tomatoes and basil were freshly-picked from our backyard edible garden.
