East Stroudsburg Rite-Aid To Close Its Doors For Good
The Rite-Aid in East Stroudsburg will shut its doors for the last time in less than two weeks. According to an employee who chose to remain anonymous, the 128 N Courtland St Rite-Aid in East Stroudsburg is closing its doors after 16 years of servicing the area on May 16, 2022.
A Home Away From Home For Our Most Vulnerable Children
The Violette "Stand For The Children" Home is fundraising to build a proposed group home in Pike County. Once completed, the new structure will provide temporary housing for up to 24 young men ages 10-17 while Children and Youth investigates abuse allegations. Residency might become permanent until they turn 18 if abuse was determined to have happened. It will serve Pike, Monroe, and surrounding counties depending on needs.

A vortex of astonishment wove the sizable gathering of art lovers together during an Artist’s Reception on Wednesday February 2nd as they explored The East Stroudsburg University of PA’s Madelon Powers Gallery’s Transfiguration: Woven Forms Exhibition that rendered the work of Jennifer Zackin that were created during the pandemic. A number of three dimensional compositions from the artist’s 7 Chairs series which utilizes late-20th Century lawn furniture and tractor seat stools as armatures filled the imagination of the viewers through their vibrant colors and their seemingly gravity-defying qualities. Several wall hangings created by Ms. Zackin that included sketches and cotton ropes further enhanced the exhibit.
