As a last hurrah for the summer before our little BS'ers start school this week, we headed out to Disney's Contemporary Resort. We made ourselves reservations for lunch at Steakhouse 71 which was formally The Wave. We had to try out the famous Bacon & Eggs, the loaded mac & cheese from the lounge, salisbury steak, 6oz filet mignon, prime rib sandwich, stack burger and gourmet grilled cheese. We also had to try out the 15 layer chocolate cake. We were not disappointed with our choices!

Previously known only as a Deluxe Dining experience at Artist Point, a Pacific Northwest inspired restaurant at Wilderness Lodge; current day, it is a sought after dining reservation as it sweeps you and your family up into the magic of Snow White! The dinner is a prefix for appetizers and desserts (my favorite parts of the meal) with you choosing your own entree. We highly recommending searching for this restaurant on the Disney World App for dining reservations...and if you can't find it? Watch our video to see what to do.

Recently we had breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno at Disney's Boardwalk and we take you along with us. We think this is the best breakfast we have had so far at Disney. The portion sizes were huge but that may be changing soon our server told us. We decided to take a leisurely ride on the skyliner just because we can 😊 See ya in the next one!!!!!

In our latest video, we're enjoying drinks and a few snacks at Nomad Lounge located in Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World! Nomad Lounge is located near the land of Pandora, next to Tiffin's Restaurant. They serve a great variety of flavorful snacks, treats, and delicious drinks! Drawing inspiration from distant locations around the world, the freshly prepared cuisine at Nomad Lounge includes Chicken Manchurian or Togarashi-spiced Tuna Nomad Bowls, Impossible Sliders, and artisanal cheeses. As any world wanderer can attest, Nomad Lounge also serves up a renowned selection of libations and spirits from around the globe. Non-alcoholic cocktails, freshly ground coffee and loose leaf teas are also available—perfect for the long day’s journey or following a long day of journeying. In-park dining requires a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date for each person in your party ages 3 and up.

Victoria & Albert's Reopening AnnouncedImage credit: Canva. While we often feel most things are back to normal again, it may be easy to forget places that did not open up with all of the others over the past couple of years. Foodies and Disney fans alike should be really excited that as part of a multi-year transformation plan, Victoria & Albert’s restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will reopen on July 28, 2022. Disney is looking to pay respect to the history of the hotel while enhancing the Victorian experience and décor. The transformation began with the Enchanted Rose Lounge and Re-Imagination of Citricos. The Enchanted Rose received some innovated cocktails, and Beauty and the Beast theming, while Citricos was updated with a subtle Mary Poppins theme. The next logical step in the culinary offerings was to re-open Victoria and Alberts for the first time since the pandemic forced Disney to close the doors.

We had a special date night at The California Grill at The Contemporary Resort and had to share it. I feel like these reservations are hard to get with Disney restaurants so as soon as we saw it available a few months ago we snagged it. It did not disappoint! I figured I would break up the home renovation videos a little bit and add in a video of our first time trying Steakhouse 71 at The Contemporary Resort. We loved this restaurant! The new decor and layout is beautiful and all of the food we tried was delicious. It will not be out last time at this restaurant. We would love to come back and try breakfast & dinner sometime. For this week's review, we headed to a resort neither of us have been to before, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. The resort is incredibly gorgeous and we could go back any day just to sit in the lobby or by the lake to take in the sights. We had reservations for Toledo- Tapas, Steak & Seafood which is located on the 16th floor of the Gran Destino Tower. The views are amazing and the food was delicious as well. We decided to do the Chef's Signature Dinner. This includes the Flight of Four Pinxtos, The Spainard, Chuletón Bone-In Rib-Eye, and The Toledo Tapas Bar Dessert. The price of the meal is for 2 people and is $145. It was a TON of food. We probably took home more than half of the food we were served. It was all so unique and delicious. We have heard so many great things about Olivia's Cafe located at Disney's Old Key West Resort in Orlando, FL. When a reservation popped up, we knew we had to take it! Olivia's is known for their hearty home cooking with a taste of the Florida Keys. When ordering, we knew we had to get some of the dishes that they are most known for. We started out with the conch fritters, then had the Southernmost Fried Chicken and Slow Cooked Prime Rib. We had to end our meal with the Key Lime Tart. Everything was truly so delicious and even editing the video, we wish we could go back right now! Fun fact- Stephanie is a true Floridian and has never been to the Florida Keys. Yippee-Ki-Yay! We headed back down to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando this week to try out another all you care to enjoy option on property. This one is at the Fort Wilderness area. When you arrive, you park near the entrance to Fort Wilderness and take a bus out to the settlement. Once there, you go towards the log cabins and you will find the Trail's End Restaurant. Since it is all you care to enjoy, the server will bring you out the bread and salad, main platter and dessert. All are served in large portions that the whole family can enjoy. If there is something that you fancy, you can ask for more! We had a great time and the food was awesome. For $29.99 we think it is a good deal for the amount of food you get. For this week's dining review, we went a little bit on the more economical side instead of pricey, but delicious, California Grill. Boatwright's Dining Hall is located at Walt Disney World's Port Orleans Resort. We had a great meal enjoying our drinks, the Mardis Gras Fritters and French Onion Soup as well as our entrees, the Nashville Hot Chicken and Salmon. Before 2021 ended, we had to do a few more reviews. We decided it had been a little bit since we went over to the Walt Disney World area so we looked for a reservation and found one for Boma- Flavors of Africa, located in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you have never been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is a must see! Neither of us had dined at Boma before and it was not a disappointment. We think it is one of Disney's best buffets. It had such a wide variety of items you have never had and it was an adventurous eaters heaven. We highly recommend snagging a reservation here. The dinner buffet runs $49 a person currently (as of January 4, 2022) which includes the buffet as well as fountain drinks.
