New COVID-19 guidelines leave campus more comfortable but also more unsure
(Ilsiia Shakirova / The Tufts Daily) At the start of each school year, students adjust to new classes, living situations, social dynamics and more. For the past three years, the “more” part of this sentence has included a spate of guidelines designed to protect the Tufts community from COVID-19.
Tufts updates fall COVID-19 protocol, ends mask mandate and surveillance testing

According to the email, the updated measures include the end of surveillance testing as well as the removal of a mask mandate. Infected students will also be directed to isolate in their rooms as opposed to the temporary housing on-campus students were asked to isolate in last academic year.

Gov. Evers says Wisconsin is ready to take on future Covid-19 surges
Recently, Governor Tony Evers sat down with TMJ4 News and talked about the possibility of an upcoming wave of COVID-19 cases as the Omicron variant spreads. When asked if the state was prepared for a surge with Omicron, Evers had this to say: "Well, I think yes, the answer is yes. We've worked with our good folks at the county levels and the municipal levels for the whole time, and I know they're ready and able to take it on."
Holyoke Medical Center main campus relocates COVID testing area
Holyoke Medical Center's designated COVID-19 Testing site on the main campus of the hospital has been relocated to the Auxiliary Conference Center around toward the back of the facility. Those looking to be tested should follow the posted signage for directions, then call the number listed on the signs from their car when they arrive at the hospital grounds. Please remain in your car until asked to enter the facility to be tested.
