Tejon Eatery's Mac Out Serves the Ultimate Comfort Food
(Colorado Springs, CO) Macaroni and cheese - just saying those three words makes my mouth water. A box of pasta with orange-colored powdered cheese sauce was a staple in our pantry when I was younger, and it was one of the first "meals" I learned to cook.
Char-Grilled Sloppy Joe
I made homemade Sloppy Joe's for the first time ever! These homemade Sloppy Joe's were so tasty and better than I ever imagined they would turn out. This is a very simple recipe that anybody can make. Step away from Manwich and make yourself a much better Sloppy Joe. This is the perfect recipe for your next dinner! After you make this you will wonder why you ever bought any of the can versions. You don't have to sear the hamburger meat if you don't want to because it will have great flavor anyway because you used your own ingredients and added a touch of homemade goodness to it. This is definitely a keeper in my cooking arsenal. Gyro at Nick the Greek
Gyro! It says on their wall it is correctly pronounced as "yeer-oh," so I'll try to remember moving forward as I am always iffy on how to say it. Anyway, we were here yesterday. Husband and I had the beef and lamb gyro plate and Josh had the kids meal which has beef gyro, pita and rice. YUM!
History of Stroud's Oak Ridge Manor Restaurant & Bar in the Northland, Kansas City, Missouri
Photo by Shardar Tarikul Islam on Unsplash. The first time I dined at Stroud's north of the river in Clay County, Kansas City, Missouri was probably over 30 years ago. Stroud's, which is considered a local chain, met all my expectations. It was like sitting down and having a home-cooked meal. Best rolls, best fried chicken, and who doesn't love their side of green beans? The service was always great in my experience and seeing crowds waiting for seats was a sign I wasn't the only customer who felt this place was crowded for a reason.

We Took A Trip Back to the 50's and Visited Rosie's Diner
We stopped by the East side of I-225 and Iliff to check out Rosie's Diner. This 1950's era Diner has all the comfort food, burgers and all day breakfasts you could want! They also have shakes, malts, sodas and other fun fountain drinks. The decor feels like you've stepped back in the 50's rock and roll era with Elvis, Betty Boop and other fun themes of the time. This is a fun place for the whole family!

Finding the tastiest bread pudding around Fresno at Mad Duck
Last night Patti and I went to Mad Duck to enjoy some tater-tots. I’ve written about the tater-tots before at Mad Duck, and last night they were as good as all the other times.
Southern comfort food in Rock Hill, South Carolina
Oh I took a trip down to the old town road leading me directly to The Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails . They are located just minutes away from downtown Rock Hill, SC. The menu is full of southern comfort food which is described as elevated . I indulged in the Grilled Verlasso Salmon, Ring Toss which consisted of fried okra, onions ,banana peppers, buttermilk ranch, & Texas pete dust, & the Warm banana pudding. The drink I ordered was a mans man drink in my opinion gave me the feeling of needing to be at a cigar lounge while sipping it was called the Anderson six . When and if you visit be sure to go to the back side of the restaurant where you can view the cool old timey exhibits with antique vintage cars and more which was a nice touch added to the restaurant. This was definitely better than I expected and was worth the drive .
