Ending Our Adventure at Punchbowl Falls and Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge

2 Miles Into Our Hike And We Reached Punchbowl Falls
2 miles into the hike on the "Eagle Creek Trail", and you will reach the beautiful Punchbowl Falls. This waterfall spills out into a wide and deep pond, making the word "bowl" fit appropriately as part of its name.
Hiking Through Eagle Creek to Punchbowl Falls
Here we are 2 miles into our hike along Eagle Creek, and now the hike requires that we cross the creek in order to reach the base of Punchbowl Falls. This part of the hike is a bit tricky and treacherous, so be very careful!
Dangerous Hike Along the Edge of A Mountain in the Columbia River Gorge
This hike is the "Eagle Creek Trail", and it takes you on a section that is very exposed and at least 100 feet above the water. It can be dangerous though, so be careful and watch your step so you don't fall!

Starting A Quiet Morning Hike Along the Trail at Eagle Creek
We started this morning off by hiking the Eagle Creek Trail, located in the Columbia River Gorge just outside of Portland. This hike was pretty quiet when we went, and there are many points of interest to see along the way.
Soaking Wet From 242 Ft 2-Tiered Waterfall "Wahkeena Falls"
Wahkeena Falls is a two-tiered waterfall coming in at a whopping 242 ft. It's still a lot smaller than the nearby Multnomah Falls, but it is still breathtaking and worth a visit. However, if you stand too close to the waterfall you will definitely get a bit wet, or even SOAKED!

From Multnomah Falls, we embarked on another one of my favorite Oregon waterfall hikes, which was to the beautiful "Wahkeena Falls". This waterfalls is a much bigger secret than Multnomah - it gets a lot fewer visitors but is a very easy and pleasant hike with great views of the Columbia River Gorge!
