We took a Train Ride on Royal Gorge Railroad near Colorado Springs in Cañon, Colorado.
Riding the Royal Gorge Route Railroad near Colorado Springs is a great excursion. It’s a thrilling way to view scenic landscapes while relaxing on a train ride. We rode on a dinner car where we actually enjoyed our food. (Many people have said train food isn’t usually good.) I had a burger, and my wife had a chicken torpedo sandwich. They were both tasty. We also had some wine and tried some local Colorado beers. The coolest part of the experience was the open air train car. It provides amazing views of the gorge. From there, we saw wild animals and learned some history from a train employee. If your looking for a fun experience near Colorado Springs check out the Royal Gorge Railroad.
