Greenwood Village psychiatrist pleads guilty to pill mill-related charges, forfeits over $826k

A 69-year-old ex-psychiatrist pleaded guilty on March 8 to distributing controlled substances outside the usual course of professional practice with no legitimate medical purpose, as well as structuring financial transactions to evade reporting requirements and using the funds for financial transactions over $10,000.
Additional charges filed in Castle Rock murder, arson case
Heather Willard / NewsBreak Denver / Feb. 22, 2023. (Castle Rock, Colo.) The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is pursuing four additional felony charges against a Castle Rock man accused of killing his mother and setting the house on fire to cover up the crime.
Arapahoe Sheriff arrests suspect in October catalytic converter thefts
(Centennial, Colo.) Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect on charges related to stolen catalytic converters recovered by detectives on Oct. 7, 2022. Three catalytic converters were stolen from Toyota Tacoma trucks at Eco Shield Pest Solutions in Centennial. Arapahoe County deputies recovered the trio of stolen items from a scrap yard in Denver but did not pursue charges against the scrap yard.

CBI seeks possible additional victims of Cripple Creek ex-police officer
(Cripple Creek, Colo.) The Colorado Bureau of Investigations is seeking possible additional victims of a former Cripple Creek police sergeant. CBI is investigating Alexander Kenoyer, 36. Agents found several explicit images and videos, possibly from the internet or filmed by Kenoyer, of women. Some may have been filmed or photographed without consent or been aware their image was being captured but believed it would remain private.

Delivery driver charged with extreme indifference, vehicular homicide
(Arapahoe County, Colo.) Additional charges were filed against a delivery driver accused of killing a man after hitting him with a semi-truck. The victim was identified as Guillermo Duran-Mejia, 55, by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office. According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a welfare check regarding Duran-Mejia’s body lying next to a white passenger van at 1 Digicomm Drive at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 28.
