Hidden Architectural Gem - Board of Trade Building Downtown, Chicago
Located on LaSalle street downtown Chicago, the Board of Trade Building is easily one of my favorite buildings in the city. First of all, it is located at the very end of the street on the intersection of Jackson and LaSalle, so it's directly in front of you while you walk towards it. It's also a massive building with a striking statue on top of it depicting the goddess of harvest. This statue also illuminates during the night, making it even prettier. Lastly, the building has a very ornate design consisting of a gothic themed clock, an eagle, and the faces of two men etched into the front. Check out my other videos for more Chicago content!
Hidden Art Pieces Scattered Throughout Downtown, Chicago
Chicago is a city with lots of artistic elements including the museums, the architecture, the music, theater, and much more. However, one can easily have a bit of an artistic exploration (at no cost) just by meandering around the downtown area of Chicago. I am of course referring to stumbling upon many of the impressive public art displays that are littered throughout downtown Chicago. There are sculptures by Picasso, statues, and much more!
