I wanted to share another cool piece of gear I use when car or truck camping. This is the GSI 6 Cup Percolator. The reason I chose to get such a small one was to keep the footprint of the things I pack up small and easy to manage. This percolator works very well and I have used it for a while now. Hasika sent me this tent to try. I wasn’t sure if it would work for me. But it’s really nice, basically allowing any SUV to become a camper. And, it’s under $100. How cool is that!

Both are great options for taking a shower and based on your budget, you might find them more convenient as well. This small footprint stove is one of the best budget-friendly options out there if you do a lot of car camping. It uses both butane and propane fuels and includes a piezo lighter so you don't even have to worry about having a fire source to light it. So this past weekend, my buddy Brian and I decided to do some truck camping. We knew some rain was coming and so this was an excellent opportunity to try out my new Hasika Car Awning. I have to say this thing performed great. It kept us dry even during a hefty downpour. This also provided a larger area as it is 18x18x13 and comes with four poles in the package. I did use one of my own center pole to create a downward angle for the rain to run off but other than that everything came with the tarp.
