Ocala Buc-ee's Location Announced
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has just received $4 million through the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund. One of the things this money will accomplish is adding a new interchange at I-75 and Northwest 49th Street in Marion County. The new interchange and infrastructure is needed to support an Ocala Buc-ee’s location. The new Buc-ee’s location is the third to be built in Florida. It will consist of an 80,000-square foot travel center, supporting 120 fuel pumps with more than 720 parking spots for visitors.

I had never heard of this chain of travel centers and was not even sure if the correct pronunciation was Buck-eye or Buck-E but it is the latter Buck-E. This store chain is being billed as "the intimate gas station and convenience store" that is well-staffed. If you don't like crowds this is not a place you will enjoy because these stores stay full of people.

More than just your run-of-the-mill gas station, Buc-ee's is known as a travel center and holds the record for the "world's largest convenience store". Each store can be over 74,000 square feet, have 120 fuel pumps, over 80 toilets, and a carwash that is 250 feet long.
