Shredded pancake
This is the Austrian version of the pancake, the shredded or scrambled pancake or also known as Kaiserschmarrn. Very easy to make and a perfect breakfast to start the day. I topped it with berries, a drizzle of pancake syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Yum!
Making a simple homemade crepe
Making a simple homemade crepe with strawberries that were freshly-picked from the backyard edible garden. A cup of store-bought crepe mix, egg, water, pure vanilla extract and two tablespoons melted butter. Mix, pour onto a pan, flip and then serve.

Skillet breakfast with tacos leftover
A skillet breakfast with leftover shrimp, chicken and al pastor from the tacos we had the other night. I diced two potatoes and added diced cheese, also leftover from our charcuterie dinner. Then, I topped the skillet with three sunny side eggs. Some sliced oranges, English muffins and strawberries. That was Sunday's late breakfast.
Crunchy breakfast toast with raspberries and figs from the garden
First, some backyard garden harvest - raspberries, figs, pear, bitter melon and calamansi. Then, we made some crunchy toast topped with our backyard pickings, sprinkled with powdered sugar. The calamansi were turned into a carafe of calamansi juice. Cheers!
