Noblesville Fire and Police Departments were called out to round up "bison" that were "loose" and roaming in the Noblesville suburb. They wanted to make sure motorists would use alternate routes, so they weren't impacted by the furry brown livestock animals running around in someone's yard. An hour and a half later that the fire department updated the public on social media that the animals were actually yaks, What are they doing in Indiana?

Did you know that bison once migrated as much as one thousand miles every year? It’s unfathomable to think about the great range of bison just as recent as one hundred years ago. Go back another hundred years and bison were reported to be in “healthy” population numbers all the way up the east coast.

I've been wanting to visit Cody, Wyoming for a long time. Not only is it the home of one of my favorite media personalities, but it also has a beautiful history and culture. There is nothing like the great outdoors, and you will definitely find them in Wyoming.

There has been a sudden interest in the American Bison lately, stemming from some confrontations between the animals and park visitors at Yellowstone National Park. It reminded me of a few years back and a trip to Caprock Canyons State Park in Texas, where I learned a lot about Bison and a fascinating story of why there is a herd in the park.

A saloon from 1893 and opened by Shorty Scout, this is the oldest restaurant in this state and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The menu comes on a gazette with pretty interesting dishes. We had fried alligator tail and fried artichoke hearts to share for appetizer. For the main course I had elk, bison and baked potato.

Day 9 of our road trip from FL to MT we spend the whole day in the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota! Our 26th President from 1901-1909 conserved 230 MILLION ACRES of land. That is the most any president has ever saved! (Denver, Colo.) In March, Denver donated 33 bison to three Tribal Nations as part of an ongoing effort to restore bison populations on indigenous lands. Of the 33 bison, 17 went to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes in Oklahoma, and 15 bison headed to the Northern Arapaho Tribe in Wyoming. The city donated one bison to the Tall Bull Memorial Council in Colorado. Last year, Denver donated 13 bison to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and one to the Tall Bull Memorial Council.
