This time, Steve is at La Mer, which is a new sushi restaurant in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. La Mer is a unique Japanese restaurant in that they are one of few in LA that specializes in kaiseki ryori, which is the highest form of Japanese course dining found in Kyoto Japan. It is similar to omakase, but with more non-sushi delicacies on the menu. This 7-9 course meal runs for $150, and is one of the best fine dining experiences in Los Angeles.
