Abstract Artist Delivers Exciting New Exhibit at University of Tampa

It’s the creative, imaginative, and energetic works of a local abstract artist in the halls of its latest technology building. Abstract painter Sara Conca has 77 pieces that you can see at the Jenkins Health and Technology Building.
‘Evicted’ exhibit in Somerville highlights housing crisis, cannabis laws
A glimpse inside the "Evicted" exhibit is pictured at the Somerville Armory on Oct. 4th.(Caroline Panier / The Tufts Daily) “Evicted,” an exhibit put on by the Community Action Agency of Somerville , is currently running at the Somerville Armory until Nov. 4. Based on sociologist Matthew Desmond’s novel “Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City”, the interactive exhibit explores the reasons for the millions of evictions in the United States every year and their consequences. Somerville is one of the final stops on the exhibit’s national tour. The exhibit is open at the Armory Monday through Wednesday from 4 p.m.–8 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

The Art of Banksy exhibit opens in DenverBecca Blond. Featuring more than 100 works by the elusive street artist, The Art of Banksy exhibit debuted at the Denver Sports Castle today and runs through June 12, 2022. Many of the British artist’s most recognizable images such as “Flower Thrower” and “Rude Copper” are on display accompanied by descriptions of the work in visual and audio formats. The art on display covers the span of Banksy’s career, which began in the early 1990s when the artist started creating graffiti street art.

The exhibit was kicked off at the “Bulldog Ball” held at the Stanley Arts Center -- bringing together SC State University faculty, local artists, students and the community for an evening celebrating the arrival of this exciting new art exhibit in Hampton County, and this important partnership between SC State and the Hampton Friends of the Arts that is helping to bring high quality art to Hampton residents.
